In order to ensure safe and secure travel of commuters on the highways and motorways, the Inspector General (IG) National Highways and Motorway Police (NH&MP) Zulfiqar Ahmad Cheema, and DIG Motorway Wisal Fakhar Sultan have directed increasing the number of briefing and patrolling officers on the highway and, as a courtesy, a gift pack should be given to commuters. The directives have been issued on the eve of Eid-ul-Azha when people visit their homes to celebrate Eid with their love ones, which increase the traffic volume manifold on highways and motorways.
Muhammad Tahir SSP M-1 has supervised the campaign, distributed the gift packs, it included with souvenirs like caps, key chains, pens, and sweet candies, traffic safety pamphlets and brochures, motorway police monograms, amongst the commuters at Main Toll Plaza, Peshawar and Burhan. He briefed the road users about the basic motive of motorway police in providing safe and uninterrupted travel on highways and motorways.
