Awami National Party (ANP) leader Asfandyar Wali demanded that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to resign immediately for its failure to restore peace in the province. He said situation is getting worse in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa while Peshawar has also gone out of the control of provincial government. "Everyone is on target of terrorists. The government has badly failed to establish law and order," he said.
Wali noted that neither any action was being taken against terrorists nor the government initiated peace talks with the militant groups. No government representative even dared to attend Israrullah Gandapur's funeral, he pointed out. The ANP leader said that the provincial government was not even accepting its responsibility. The federal government was authorised to hold peace talks, he said, adding that it should act now. He also deplored the killing of Israrullah Gandapur in a terrorist attack on Wednesday.
