Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) on Friday reacted strongly to Pakistan People's Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari's remarks about party chief Imran Khan, saying he must learn politics first instead of taking pride in his mom Benazir Bhutto.
Central Information Secretary of PTI, Dr Shireen Mazari said: "Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, a spoilt brat who calls himself a 'leader' only because of his mother and maternal grandfather Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, and who hides in rooms from where he records his speeches, had the gall to call Imran Khan 'buzdil'". Shireen said Imran Khan a leader of the people who, unlike the Zardaris, neither hides behind closed doors, nor bullet-proof screens, to address the public but goes right into the crowds, is a brave and fearless leader who has built his leadership by working for the people of Pakistan - not inheriting a position by virtue of birth.
She said Bilawal also needs to wake up from his stupor to understand that the PTI 'Tsunami' is already here to wipe out the corruption of his father and PPP. "If PPP was, under Zardari, a brave party its leaders would go to people not hide behind screens and walls of safe rooms."
She said PPP is so deficit in leadership that it has to keep relying on the martyrdom of ZAB and BB to gain attention of people. Politics of the shroud is still all Zardari and his brood, have to offer to the people even though they are in no way the PPP that was created by the founder ZAB or even of Shaheed BB, she added. The online feud between PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and PTI leaders and supporters had local Twitter users abuzz, as the battle quickly moved from exchanges about Malala to outright trolling.
The war of words began on October 12, when PTI leader Asad Umar tweeted a reply regarding the teen activist's desire to become Pakistan's prime minister one day. "I want Malal 2 b my PM. She puts IK 2 shame coz at 14 she had courage to talk against TTP but IK is a coward at 60," tweeted Bilawal following Malala's meeting with US President Barrack Obama.
