At least five people were killed in different incidents of violence in the city during three days of Eidul Azha, police and rescue sources said. A man and his wife were gunned down at Rashid Minhas Road in the limits of Gulberg police station. The victims were identified as Mian Mohammad Yasin, 40 and his wife Noor Bano, 35. They were shot dead killed by armed men.
They lived in New Karachi Sector 5-E. The bodies were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities. In another incident Shafqat, 45, was shot dead in Korangi 2-1/2 in the limits of Korangi police station. The body was moved to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center for autopsy.
Body of man was found in Pak Colony in the limits of Pak Colony police station. The identity of the deceased could not be ascertained till filing of this report. The body was moved to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities Mujahid, 38, was gunned down by armed men in Dalmia, Shanti Nagar in the limits of Aziz Bhatti police station. The body was moved to JPMC for medico-legal formalities. A man was shot and killed in Chanesar Goth in the limits of Mehmoodabad police station. The victim was identified as Maheed, 39. The body was moved to JPMC for medico-legal formalities.
