CCPO Lahore Chaudhry Shafiq Ahmad suspended six officials over misuse of power and negligence. According to police, the CCPO visited different pickets in the city, including Kot Lakhpat, Scheme Mor, Wahdat Road and Bobattian Chowk, found officials guilty of misusing power and negligence in their duties. The CCPO then suspended the culprits and ordered an internal action against them.
The suspended police officials were ASI Muhammad Kamran, ASI Muhammad Hanif, SI Mujahid Ameen, SI Munwar, head constable Arif and constable Muhammad Amin. The CCPO also awarded cash prizes of Rs 3,000 each to ASI Muhammad Adeel and constable Muhammad Ashfaq for their performances.
