A bar member has approached the Lahore High Court to direct the federal government to hold talks with Taliban after allowing them to open their office in the country. The petitioner, Kashif Mehmood Sulmani, said a Taliban office in the country would help facilitate the dialogue process. He said according to the Charter of United Nations Organisation, no sanctions will be imposed on Pakistan for holding talks with Taliban.
