Ad-hoc President Lahore Region Cricket Association has approached the Lahore High Court with a request to halt election of Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) till completion of Electoral College. Petitioner Izzat Saiyed pleaded that the election for the PCB Chairman was going to be held on November 2, but the Electoral College had not been completed so far.
He said presidents of district and regional cricket associations elect the board's chairman but 30 percent of a total 111 associations were being run without presidents or their election results had been challenged before courts. The Petitioner therefore prayed to the court to stay the election of the chairman till completion of the Electoral College.
