Sindh Minister for Local Government Syed Owais Muzaffar has directed DIG Hyderabad to hold fresh inquiry into the Pangrio incident where some criminals had allegedly desecrated the body of a Hindu Dalit folk singer, Bhooro Bheel, a few weeks back.
Syed Owais Muzaffar visited the family of victim in village Karo Bheel near Pangrio town, on the directives of Patron-in-Chief of Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, said a statement on Sunday.
He was accompanied by Minister for Minorities Affairs Gyanchand Esrani, MNA Sardar Kamal Khan Chang, MPAs Hasnain Mirza and Muhammad Nawaz Chandio, and Surender Valasai.
Syed Owais Muzaffar summoned DIG Hyderabad, DC and SP Badin to village Karo Bheel and ordered that all the culprits involved in this alleged incident should not be spared and assured the family of Bhooro Bheel that justice will be provided to them and the criminals will not be allowed to escape the law.
On the occasion, Syed Owais Muzaffar announced that land will be granted for the minorities' graveyard and also asked the Minorities' Affairs Minister that a boundary wall should be constructed around this graveyard.
He further said that one member of Bhooro Bheel family will be given government job and his widow will be provided financial assistance by the Sindh government.
