Yarn Expo Autumn showcased 21 companies from Pakistan representing natural and blended yarns including cotton, wool and flax, ramie as well as regenerated and man-made fibres and yarns, plus a broad range of specialty products including elastic, and fancy and blended yarns.
With an increase in the number of exhibitors at this year's Yarn Expo Autumn, visitors guaranteed a greater sourcing choice of fibres and yarns. A total of 150 suppliers from 13 countries and regions, including China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Italy, Korea, Lithuania, Pakistan, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Turkey from 21 - 23 October at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre.
Exhibitor numbers surpassed last year's figure, with the increased participation providing even more sourcing options for visitors. A range of products made with natural and blended yarns including cotton, wool and flax / ramie, as well as regenerated and man-made fibres and yarns, plus a broad range of specialty products including elastic, and fancy and blended yarns.
This fair is increasingly recognised as the ideal gateway to reach the fast-growing domestic market, as confirmed by the strong overseas exhibitor presence this year. Two of the world's main cotton manufacturing countries, India and Pakistan, both has a large involvement this year, with the Indian Pavilion and Pakistan Zone set to be popular attractions for visitors.
Due to the strong interest in the competitively priced cotton yarns on offer in the Pakistan Zone last year, an expanded version provides buyers with more choice this year. Exhibitors' participation has more than tripled, with the zone occupying 600 sqm of exhibition space, Messe Frankfurt's representative and Director Fairs and Exhibitions Pakistan, Umar Salahuddin said that the large factor in the growth this year was the increased participation from South Asia. The Pakistan Zone with 21 manufacturers offering competitively priced cotton yarns, more than triple compared with last year. "The exhibitor growth from both India and Pakistan confirms the status of this fair as the best platform for gaining access to the Chinese market," said Wendy Wen, Senior General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd. "It also shows that despite the recent economic slowdown overseas suppliers are optimistic and feel there is still room for growth in this market."-PR
