National Highways and Motorway Police has reunited four lost/run away children with their parents. As per details, Motorway Police Officers PO Sohail Arif and APO Noorullah were on their routine patrolling duty on motorway in the area of Swabi and found a 10-year-old child Bilal S/o Akram Khan r/o Haji Camp Peshawar. He informed that he left his home due to excessively beaten by his parents and boarded a Mazda which disembarked him here on motorway.
The NH&MP officers took him into safe custody and informed his parents and handed over to his parents. In the second incident, NH&MP officers SPO Muhammad Nawaz and PO Muhammad Arif found a 13-year-old boy from Motorway in the area of Sial Mor, who told his name as Sanawar s/o Muhammad Ashraf r/o Bhabra and said that he was working in Sargodha and lost his bicycle, due to fear of father, he escaped from home and boarded a vehicle, which disembarked him here on Motorway.
The NH&MP officers took him in safe custody and informed his father. The boy was handed over to his father Muhammad Ashraf, who thanked the officers of Motorway police for this great favour. In third incident, SPO Amanat Ali and PO Shakirullah were on their routine patrolling on GT Road Muridke and found a 4-year-old boy who told his name Zain Iqbal S/o Muhammad Iqbal but have no knowledge of his home.
The NH&MP officers took him in their safe custody and struggled to locate his parents, make announcements in different nearby mosques and finally they succeeded to find his uncle Abbas Ali S/o Inayatullah Ali r/o Dheri Muridke. Later on, the child was handed over to his uncle after due verification. In fourth incident, on GT Road at Maraka Toll Plaza, NH&MP Photographer Shah Jehan found a weeping boy,8 in a bus No BSA-445 of new Habib Company.
SPO Muhammad Iqbal briefing officer took the boy in his custody who told his name as Amir Shehzad r/o Sahiwal. He informed that he was working on a shop and left his home due to some dispute with his parents. Later on after due verification, the child was handed over to his uncle Safdar Ali. However, the desperate faces of the parents of these children were filled with happiness when the Motorway Police officers reunited these children with them. The Inspector General, National Highways and Motorway Police Zulfiqar Ahmad Cheema appreciated the performance of officers and announced cash rewards with commendation certificates who took part in these incidents.
