EU team briefed about LB elections schedule

A delegation of the European Union headed by Michael Gahler, member of the EU Parliament and Chief Observer for the 2013 EU Election Observation Mission (EU EOM) to Pakistan, called on Secretary Law, Justice and Human Rights on Wednesday. According to a press release issued here, the delegation discussed the democratic process in Pakistan in the aftermath of 2013 general election.
The Secretary Law apprised the delegation about the peaceful transfer of power in the country through democratic process and told them that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) had announced schedule for the local bodies election, which would strengthen the democratic process.
