A joint Pak Navy-PAF Maritime Exercise SEAHAWK-I concluded on Friday. The joint exercise was conducted in Arabian Sea from 28th to 31st October, 2013. Pak Navy surface / air units, coastal stations, PAF combat aircraft and surveillance assets participated in the exercise.
This exercise is the first of the series in which the concept of operational integration of PAF's assets was validated in the Maritime operations. Joint employment of PAF and Pak Navy offensive and defensive capabilities were rehearsed for vigorous operational training.
Air Marshal Sohail Aman, Deputy Chief of Air Staff (Operations), Rear Admiral Khan Hasham Bin Saddique, Commander Pakistan Fleet, Air Vice Marshal Azhar Hasan Rizvi, Air Officer Commanding Southern Air Command and Air Vice Marshal Ijaz Mehmood Malik, Air Officer Commanding Air Defence Command witnessed various phases of exercise. The exercise provided an opportunity to combat crew of both the sister services to acquaint themselves with applied tactics of such operations in near real scenario.-PR
