Prices move both ways on grain market

Prices moved both ways on the wholesale grain market on Saturday in the process of modest trading, dealers said. On the grams side, grams 50x50 gained Rs 100 to Rs 3900-4200, Gram Dall 50x50, however, lost Rs 400 to Rs 4200-4400, yellow peas Russia shed Rs 50 to Rs 4000-4200, yellow peas Dall Russia followed same pattern, losing same amount to Rs 4350-4550 and Bajra low type gained Rs 100 to Rs 3000 while the best variety maintained overnight level at Rs 4300, they said.
On the seeds side, cottonseeds oilcake low type maintained overnight level at Rs 1050 while the good type was down by Rs 20 to Rs 1100, other items sustained last levels, they added. Prices were inert on the cereals and rice sectors, they added.
