Google announces handwriting input

Google has announced that users can now input their handwriting directly into Gmail and Google Docs via mousepad, trackpad or touch-screen. Users need to first enable input tools and then select the handwriting input of the language they want to use. They'll then be able to write single or multiple characters in a panel and see them appear in their message or document. Google says the feature is available for over 20 languages in Google Docs and over 50 in Gmail.
