Yasin's appeal: Chief Justice forms larger bench

Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry on Thursday constituted a five-member larger bench to hear an intra-court appeal of Secretary Defence Lieutenant General Asif Yasin Malik (Retd). The bench will be headed by Justice Nasirul Mulk, while other members of the bench will be Justice Aijaz Ahmed Chaudhry, Justice Athar Saeed, Justice Azmat Saeed Sheikh and Justice Iqbal Hameedur Rehman.
Asif Yasin had requested the chief justice to form a larger bench over the Supreme Court decision of contempt of court in a case pertaining to the failure of Asif Yasin Malik in holding local government elections in cantonment boards.
