Expressing voice concern over closure of Lowari Tunnel, residents of district Chitral on Thursday staged a protest demonstration on main trunk road, demanding to open the tunnel immediately. The protest was spearheaded by former MNA and Jammat-e-Islami leader from district Chitral, Abdul Akbar Chitrali along with scores of dwellers of Chitral.
The protesters were holding placards and banners inscribed with anti-government and against the closure of Lowari Tunnel. Talking to media persons on the occasion, Abdul Akbar Chitrali said the local people are facing enormous difficulties due to prolonged closure of Lowari Tunnel.
