With the arrival of winter season, the domestic gas consumers have been facing problems due to low or zero gas pressure in their houses for a couple of days. The temperature fell to a significant level after rain in twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad and with the change in weather conditions people have started facing low or zero gas pressure.
Domestic consumers of different localities including Saddar, Adiala Road, Committee Chowk, Pirwadhai, Gulrez, Chaklala Scheme-III, Dhoke Chaudhrian, Sadiqabad, Satellite Town, Pindora have been facing difficulties due to low or zero gas pressure in their houses for a couple of days. According to Pakistan Meteorological Department, people of the twin cities would face worst winter because hilly areas like Gilgit, Skardu and Galliat are receiving snow with the arrival of winter. The citizens have expressed grave concern over gas loadshedding and low gas pressure in winter season, saying that it is affecting their routine life.
People urged the concerned authorities to take steps for regularising gas supply in winter season. Talking to APP, residence of the affected areas complained that "We faced such kind of situation in December in previous years but unfortunately we are facing worst situation in November," they said.
