ISLAMABAD: Chairman Earthquake Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Authority (ERRA) Lieutenant General Omar Mahmood Hayat Thursday met a delegation of Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) led by Chief Engineer Abdullah Al Shoaibi here on Thursday.
Gen Hayat appreciated the role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) in standing by Pakistan after the devastating earthquake of 2005.
Saudi Arabia has been one of the first responders to the devastating earthquake and has been a vital development partner of ERRA in reconstruction and rehabilitation of affected areas of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), he added.
Admiring the role of KSA, the Chairman said, that people of Pakistan held Saudi Arabia in high esteem as it had always stood with Pakistan in times of need.
The meeting was held to oversee the progress on ongoing projects and inauguration of King Abdullah Teaching Hospital, Mansehra which is 350 beds hospital.
After the meeting with the Chairman, the delegation had held meeting with ERRA officials headed by the DG Projects.
