Guardian of Shia Ulema Board Agha Syed Hamid Ali Moosavi said on Sunday that anti-state elements were behind the recent incidents of terrorism in Gujranwala, Karachi and other cities. Agha Moosavi reviewed the performance of TNFJ Legal Committee for Azadari and urged the government to apprehend the terrorists and give them exemplary punishment. He said there was no Sunni-Shia conflict in the country as people belonging to all the schools of thought observed the mourning of Imam Hussain (AS) with great respect.
However, some radical elements could not tolerate this brotherhood fraternity, he added. He said for establishing peace in the country, people who belonged to the banned groups should be arrested and scrutinised.
Agha Mossavi said the co-operation of Federal Government with Tehrik-e-Nifaz-e-Fiqah Jafria (TNFJ) for setting up Azadari Cells to facilitate the mourners, was highly appreciable and the provincial governments should also follow this suit. He also urged the media not to give projection to the banned outfits and instead of help establishing peace in the country.
