Chief Minister Pervez Khattak while emphasising the role of Ulema in reformation of society asked them in particular and all Muslims in general to demonstrate unity and cohesion in their ranks as he said we in fact paved way for our weaknesses and destruction due to our own mistakes in the past.
He said it is good omen that the Muslims especially Ulema have realised the real situation and people from various sects and schools of thoughts are showing exemplary unity and fraternity that he said is the need of the hour in the present critical scenario.
He was talking to a representative delegation of Ulema and elite of Hangu led by Shah Faisal MPA that called on him at CM Secretariat Peshawar on Tuesday. The delegation told that both Sunni and Shia leaders are fully co-operating with the local administration and hence there is no question of creating rifts among them by the unseen enemies.
Pervez Khattak while appreciating the spirit of unity and brotherhood of both Sunni and Shia leaders of the area said the government always welcomed such exemplary spirit of mutual fraternity of its citizens and hence coping with all eventualities and challenges is then very easy for us.
He appealed the people to continue maintaining unity in their ranks in the present alarming situation so that the nefarious designs of the anti-state elements and miscreants could be foiled. He said the teachings of Islam and the holy Prophet (PBUH) underlined the need of having brotherhood and love with the humanity while acting against these Islamic norms always become the reason of downfall of Muslims and hence it is the bounden duty of the government and the people to maintain harmony with joint efforts. He, on pinpointing of the delegation, contacted the concerned authorities to solve the certain local problems of the people in time.
Meanwhile talking to a delegation of PTI Chitral led by Fozia Bibi MPA, the Chief Minister took strong exception of supplying substandard wheat to the people in Chitral and asked the Food department authorities to destroy the rotten wheat stock and arrange fresh supply of four thousand tons wheat so that sufficient quantity of quality wheat could be ensured to Chitrali people before snowfall begins in the hills bound valley.
He also directed for up-gradation of THQ hospital Darosh and construction of Sports Stadiums in both tehsils of the district. He on a demand revealed that under construction Lowari tunnel would be open for vehicular traffic for three days in a week due to blockade of Lowari top in winter adding that an agreement has been struck with the Federal Government in this regard. He also listened to other problems of the delegation and issued necessary instructions to the concerned authorities on many of them on the spot.
