U-Microfinance Bank Limited, a subsidiary of Pakistan Telecommunications Company Limited and a sister concern of PTML (Ufone), was awarded with the 'Best Bank led Mobile Money' at a ceremony of 'Mobile Money Global Awards 2013' in Dubai, UAE. The award was conferred for successful launch of 'UPaisa,' a joint-venture of Ubank and Ufone on November 6, 2013 at Dubai, UAE. The award was received by President & CEO Ubank Arif Sirhindi, said in a press release issued by Ubank.
It said that UPaisa utilised state of art technology for facilitating branchless banking transaction for fund remittances and utility bills payment. The bank successfully implemented new technology in financial services industry.-PR
