Crime rate has registered a sharp increase in the federal capital, as various police stations of the federal capital have registered 11 cases of car-lifting and eight of robbery during the last week. The rising incident of car theft and robberies in the federal capital has created a sense of in security among the people, as despite tall claims of the police no decrease has been witnessed in the crime rate in the city.
According to the data gathered by Business Recorder, Kohsar Police registered two cases of carjacking and one case of robbery during the last week. A resident informed Kohsar Police station that a bag from his car carrying his passport and camera was stolen. On the other hand auto-theft gang stole a car (LWN-0524) of Sardar Waseem from Blue area and taken away another car (IDN-7212) of Abdur Rehman from the same area located in the limits of Kohsar Police Station.
During the last week, Sabzi Mandi Police Station registered two cases of car-lifting and one case of robbery. Ehsan a resident of sector I-10 got registered a complaint with Sabzi Mandi Police Station that some unknown thieves had stolen jewellery and mobile phone from his house. Carjacking gang lifted a car LW-672 of Muhammad Manzoor from sector I-11/4, while another Suzuki van RIT-615 of Sohail Yousuf has been stolen from sector I-10 Markaz.
Lohi Bheer station registered three cases of robbery during the last week. Aftab Hussain a resident of Behria Town told Lohi Bheer police station that unknown bandits robbed his house and took away cash, jewellery and mobile phone. In another incident, armed robbers jumped into the house of Shoukat Ali located at Behri town and made off cash, jewellery and mobile phone. Three armed men held Muhammad Saleh at gunpoint at Pakistan Town and snatched mobile and cash from him.
During the last week, Margalla Police registered three cases of car-lifting. Auto-theft gang lifted a car RB-2937 of Muhammad Arshad from sector F-8 Markaz, besides stealing a car having registration number UL-665 of Muhammad Anus from sector G-9 and another car was (RX-7072) of Syed Hussain Bukhar was stolen from sector F-8 Markaz. Aabpara Police registered two cases of auto-theft and one case of robbery. Carjackers stole a car (IDD-6421) of Khalil Ahmad from Meloday market and lifted a bike YAM-364 of Noor Khan from Sunday bazaar parking. Muhammad Shafqat informed Aabpara Police Station that bandits took away jewellery, cash and mobile phone from his house. Industrial Area Police registered two cases of car theft during last week, whereas Bani Gala Police registered two cases of robbery during the same time.
