Soyabean and corn harvests were entering their final phases in the US Midwest, with most farmers back on typical schedules after late planting caused delays for most of the year. Soyabean harvest was likely 94 percent complete as of November 10, based on the average of estimates of 10 analysts in a Reuters poll. Analysts pegged the corn harvest as 84 percent complete.
Estimates ranged from 91 to 98 percent for soyabeans and 79 to 89 percent for corn. The US Department of Agriculture said last week that the corn harvest was 73 percent complete and the soyabean harvest was 86 percent finished as of November 3. USDA will give its update of corn and soyabean harvests at 3 pm CST (2100 GMT) in its weekly crop progress and conditions report. The weekly report was delayed a day by Monday's Veterans Day holiday.
