DG Rangers chairs security conference: 'no miscreant be allowed to create law and order'
Director General Pakistan Rangers Sindh, Major General Rizwan Akhtar chaired a high level security conference at Headquarters Pakistan Rangers Sindh to review security situation in the back drop of current developments in the country. The DG Rangers ordered that no miscreant be allowed to create law and order in the city and anyone trying to do so be arrested under recently delegated additional powers including 90 days detention, said a statement issued here on Sunday.
The Rangers personnel arrested eight hardened criminals and recovered weapons during raids and snap checking in different areas of the city on Saturday evening.
It said that the Pakistan Rangers Sindh conducted targeted raids in Majeed Colony, Gulshan-e-Iqbal block-17, 100 Quarters, Allah Walla Town, Gulshan-e-Manzoor, Raees Amrohvi Colony, Old Golimar, Dawood Goth, Baldia Town, Gulbahar and Haji Mureed Goth areas. Rangers personnel conducted snap checking in Paradise Chowk, Bin Qasim and Burns Road areas.
