TECNO releases camera-centric, budget-friendly smartphone

An emerging smartphone brand TECNO has launched its latest camera-centric reasonable-priced smartphone in Pakistan, the Camon i Air.

TECNO mobile is an emerging smartphone brand under TRANSSION Holdings and its newly launched low-end Camon i Air smartphone is the latest addition to its camera-centric Camon series. Focusing the smartphone on camera for high quality picture, the phone is priced at a reasonable cost of Rs. 17,699.

Sloganed 'Create magic your way', TECNO regards its features with 'creating magic' in everything. The Camon i Air features a 13MP (f/2.0) rear camera with a 4x super Quad LED flash accompanied with an 8MP (f/2.0) front camera with LED boosted screen flash for brightening selfies. These cameras are all set to take amazing pictures for 'creating magic' in even low-light conditions. Users can also take wide-angle selfies that features auto scene detection and also customization features, reported Tech Juice.

At its launch event, the General Manager of TRANSSION Holding, Mr. Willy Cui expressed, “Pakistan is one of the fastest growing markets in terms of smartphone demand. Although TECNO is one of the newer mobile phone brands in Pakistan, the response from the Pakistani market for TECNO smartphones has been growing at a rapid pace. Understanding the needs of Pakistani consumers is very important for us to develop top of the line features to meet the demands.”

With 12.5% more space in the HD screen for users, the 18:9 screen ration of the device also lets user enjoy watching videos and playing games. The split screen mode also permits users to multi-task. The phone has a rear multi-functional fingerprint sensor that apart from unlocking the phone, also helps accepting calls, accessing app lock and take pictures. Running on Android 7.0 Nougat, the smartphone comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB expandable storage.

Another interesting feature is that the phone comes in with built-in call recording feature and all-in-one triple slot, two slots for the dual SIM feature and one for SD card. The Camon i Air features a decent 3,050mAh battery.
