National Highways and Motorway Police (NH&MP) arranged road safety walks, special briefings to commemorate "Day of Remembrance for Road Crash Victims" at Motorway Islamabad Toll Plaza and Sangjani Toll Plaza on the GT Road. The ceremony held at Motorway Islamabad Toll Plaza. DIG Motorways, Wisal Fakhar Sultan and SSP Muhammad Tahir along with other officers attended the ceremony.
NH&MP informed the road users to always wear the seat belt, always drive within speed limit, avoid the use of mobile phone, proper lanes should be followed. Speaking on the occasion, the speakers urged the participants to follow the traffic laws to prevent the accidents. It was propounded that more than 12,000 Pakistanis died every year in road accidents which could be prevented after following traffic laws properly. A flag march of patrolling mobiles also held in which more than two dozen patrolling mobiles participated.
