Regional Tax Office (RTO) Lahore established 13 Tax Facilitation Kiosks to guide and facilitate the taxpayers in properly filing income tax returns and statements. Sources told Business Recorder here on Monday that the RTO Lahore has taken the steps to encourage taxpayers for voluntary filing of income tax returns. In this regard, the RTO Lahore has established these Kiosks on the directions of the FBR.
Following are the names and addresses of the Tax Facilitation Kiosks established at Lahore: TFK-01 - RTO, Lahore (H Block, DHA, Lahore); TFK-02- RTO, Lahore (Y Block, DHA, Lahore); TFK-03 RTO, Lahore (Anarkali, Lahore); TFK-04 - RTO, Lahore (Panorama Centre, The Mall, Lahore); TFK-05 - RTO, Lahore (Akbari Mandi, Lahore); TFK-06 - RTO, Lahore (Azam Cloth Market, Lahore); TFK-07 - RTO, Lahore (Baghban Pura, Lahore); TFK-08 - RTO, Lahore (Badami Bagh, Lahore); TFK-09 - RTO, Lahore (Misri Shah, Lahore); TFK-10 - RTO, Lahore (Shahdara, Lahore); TFK-11 - RTO, Lahore (Shah Alam Market, Lahore); TFK-12 - RTO, Lahore (Sheikhupura) and TFK-13 - RTO, Lahore (Nankakana Sahib).
As per FBR's instructions, RTO Lahore has set up tax facilitation kiosks to help taxpayers file returns and maximise returns filing. In order to provide maximum facilitation to the taxpayers who want to file their income tax returns for the tax year 2013 through the tax facilitation KIOSKS/Tax Facilitation Centers in the RTOs, the RTO Lahore has taken necessary steps.
The tax facilitation KIOSKS/TFCs has been established at such places where maximum number of taxpayers can avail the facility. Important business centres and shopping malls may be given preference in this regard. The staff deputed at the KIOSKS/TFCs has been directed to extend full co-operation and courtesy to the taxpayers. Wherever required, education and guidance may be provided. For the benefit of the taxpayers, the prescribed performance of the returns and wealth statement may also be made available to the KIOSKS/TFCs, sources added.
