The United Bank Limited (UBL) has partnered with M/s Buksh Energy Limited to provide financing for alternate energy (solar) solutions to individual farmers, meeting their irrigation as well as domestic power demands. With this partnership, UBL aims to serve the farming community through financing of solar tube wells for energy conservation, says a statement issued here on Monday.
It said that Buksh Energy will be providing all engineering and after sales services to farmers for running and maintenance of the solar equipment. A signing ceremony to this effect was held at the UBL Head Office in Karachi. Group Executive, Retail Bank, Ali Hasnain, Chief Executive, Buksh Energy (Pvt) Limited, Fiza Farhan, Group Head Branchless and E-banking, Abrar Mir, Head Credit International, Najmul Hasan, Head Deposit Products and Marketing Services, Ashfaq Akbar, Divisional Head Agribusiness, Aslam Nizamani, Divisional Head Commercial Assets Osman Saeed Kazi and Cluster Head Agribusiness-Central North Zeeshan Israr, were present at the signing ceremony. Ali Hasnain, on the occasion said, "UBL Agriculture Finance aims to facilitate farmers via production and development loans with flexible tenors."-PR
