Formation Commanders meeting: Army chief briefs Prime Minister about decisions

Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif at PM's House on Wednesday. The Army Chief and the PM discussed overall security situation in the country. The CoAS briefed the PM on decisions taken in the Formation Commanders meeting. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif lauded the role of Pakistan Army to control the situation after the clashes in Rawalpindi.
Earlier, Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani chaired a meeting of Formation Commanders at General Headquarters. External and internal security situation and professional matters were discussed during the meeting. It is worth mentioning here that this was the last meeting of Formation Commanders chaired by General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani who would retire from his office on November 28.
