On the call of JUI-F a protest day was observed against Rawalpindi tragedy across Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and it was termed an organised, planned conspiracy to spread sectarian hatred in the country.
According to JUI-F Media Cell religious clerics in their Friday sermons in districts Peshawar, Nowshera, Mardan, Swabi, Charsadda, Haripur, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Kohistan, Shangla, Hangu, Karak, Tank, Lakki Marwat, Bannu, DI Khan and tribal agencies of Kurram, Mohmand, Khyber, Orakzai, North Waziristan, South Waziristan, Bajaur and Frontier Regions termed the Rawalpindi tragedy an organised, hatched conspiracy in which an attempt of creating sectarian violence was made and beside putting a mosque and seminary on fire open barbarism was exhibited against students and teachers.
They said despite committing worst barbarism neither the accused were arrested nor the administration was suspended rather they were transferred and posted on other posts.
The religious clerics in their sermons said presently Pakistan is passing through critical juncture and on one side preparations are being made for peace negotiations while on the other hand the US drone attacks put the national security at stake and under a planning sectarian violence is being promoted.
The people in these cities offered Fateha for the martyred of Rawalpindi violence and drone attacks and demanded of the government for bringing the real culprits into justice and unveiling their faces before the nation. They also demanded government level measures against drone attacks.
In Peshawar, the religious clerics in their speeches held the local administration of Rawalpindi responsible for the tragedy and demanded the bringing of the elements involved into justice.
In historic, Qasim Ali Khan Mosque, religious leaders like Mufti Shahabuddin, Qari Fayyaz-ur-Rehman in Namak Mandi, Hussain Ahmad Madni, Maulana Khair-ul-Bashar, Maulana Abdul Rauf Jan, Qari Samiullah Jan, Maulana Shafiq-ur-Rehman, Maulana Amanullah Haqqani, Maulana Atta-ul-Haq Darvesh, Syed Rafiq Shah, Maulana Rafiullah Qasimi, Maulana Saeed Jan and others termed Rawalpindi incident as national tragedy, offered Fateha for the deceased and termed it an international conspiracy.
