Nine persons including a woman received bullets injuries due to firing of police cop in Bana Manari area of the city here on Friday. Deputy Commissioner Peshawar, Zaheerul Islam confirmed this while talking to reporters that Constable Ali Badshah allegedly opened firing on rival group near Wakho Bridge on Kohat Road in the jurisdiction of Bana Manari police station, injuring nine persons including a woman.
Police rushed to the spot and arrested the accused constable, Ali Badshah.
The injured have been identified as Najeebullah, Abdul Rehman, Takbeerullah, Sajid, Tariq, Amjad Ali, Zakirullah, Munir and the woman as Mst Sharifa. Police have registered a case against the accused under various section of law including 7-ATA and started investigation.
