Member of Pakistan Association for Disabled Persons, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, demanded of the government to take action against allegedly misappropriation of funds, assisted by foreign donor organisations, and to take stern action against those office-bearers of the association who were involved in this illegal practice.
Speaking at a press conference at press club here on Tuesday, Qari Mohammad Ibrar, a member of the association, alleged the incumbent president of the Pakistan Association for Disabled Persons, Qari Noor Saad in embezzlement of funds, donated by international organisations, while also made corruption in procurement of machines for special persons.
Flanked by his disabled brothers, he said that during a ceremony in Government Blind School on eve of International Day for Special Persons, he tried to raise voice against the corruption in the funds but the association president stopped him and also expelled my brothers from the Blind School, and also cancelled his membership.
He demanded of the government to conduct an inquiry into misappropriation of funds, and take stern action against all people involved in this matter, and to ensure implementation of rules in Government Blind School. He also urged government to announce monthly stipend, free transport, education, medical facilities, and employment opportunities, provision of basic food commodities and household utensils for disabled persons.
