Grams and Gur prices were lower on the wholesale grain market on Wednesday in the process of modest trading, dealers said. On the cereals side, Guwar Sindh and Punjab both fell sharply by Rs 1000 to Rs 6500 and Rs 7000, Gur low type lost Rs 300 to Rs 5500 and the good variety was down by Rs 500 to Rs 6000, Khandsari followed same pattern, shedding Rs 300 to Rs 7500, other commodities maintained overnight levels in the process of trading, they said.
On the grams side, yellow peas Russia dropped by Rs 50 to Rs 4450-4650, yellow peas Dall Russia, however, gained Rs 100 to Rs 4800-5000, they said.
On the seeds side, rapeseeds cake prices were down by Rs 100 to Rs 1375 and Rs 1400, Til regular inferior type was higher by Rs 200 to Rs 7500 while the best quality was unchanged at Rs 7800, Til small picked up Rs 500 to Rs 8000, cottonseeds oilcake with bag Sindh (New) low type rose by Rs 100 to Rs 1100 and best variety was up by Rs 25 to Rs 1150, they added.
Prices were inert on the rice sector, they added.
