MOSCOW: The Russian rouble slipped against the dollar on Wednesday in light trade as the market remained open despite a public holiday.
At 0742 GMT, the rouble was 0.5 percent weaker against the dollar at 63.29.
It was flat against the euro, trade at 76.07.
Brent crude oil, a global benchmark for Russia's main export, was up 0.51 percent at $73.51 a barrel.
The dollar-denominated RTS index was down 0.29 percent to 1150.8 points. The rouble-based MOEX Russian index was 0.42 percent higher at 121.3 points.
