NEW YORK: US crude oil inventories rose to about 436 million barrels last week, the highest since December, according to US Energy Information data released on Wednesday.
US Midwest commercial crude imports, excluding the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, climbed to the highest on record at 3.1 million barrels per day (bpd) last week.
The four-week average US commercial crude imports excluding SPR hit the highest since February 2017.
