Meet Mohammad Afzaal, the future star of Pakistan Cricket
Pakistan have a rich history of producing brilliant cricketers such as Imran Khan, Javed Miandad Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis and others, and since the beginning of PSL, the country already found a good one in shape of Hasan Ali.
As Pakistan’s domestic cricket is growing, allot of new faces are bursting on to the scene, and today we met one in shape of Mohammad Afzaal.
Mohammad Afzaal, like a few others doesn’t have the support of the family because of poor background as he has to help his uncle to earn their living by selling burgers.
Afzaal, who hails from Nankanasahib, have all the tools to become one of the finest cricketers from the country, said one of the coach of Afzaal.
The coaches at Hanif Mohammad Academy said that he is a special talent. At this age it is very difficult to have such control on his game whether it is bowling, batting or keeping wickets, he is a complete package.
Talking to our correspondent Afzaal said, he is a huge fan of Sarfraz Ahmed and wants to represent Pakistan.
“My name is Mohammad Afzaal, I am from Nankanasahib. I play from Sialkot Region. When I came to know about the trials, I went to Sheikhupura for trails and got selected on basis of good wicket-keeping,” said 13-year-old.
“Our final trails were held in Sialkot where I got selected as well. I played region matches there I picked 17 wickets,” Afzaal said.
Commenting on training camp in Karachi, he said, “I am happy here. The coaching staff is very gentle and kind.”
He further said, “I want to represent Pakistan like Sarfraz Ahmed.”
It is worth to mention here that, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has organized a training camp here at National Stadium Karachi, where 30 players from the country are participating.
