Pakistan all-rounder Abdul Razzaq made a huge announcement recently that he would be returning to cricket, however, turns out he is not aiming to play for the country anymore but instead is content to participate in Pakistan Super League (PSL).

Razzaq revealed that the passion for the game still runs deep, which is why the 38-year-old decided to give one final shot ."Given the fact that my love for the game is still there, I have decided to give it a shot for one last final time. I am offered a contract by PTV and going to play first-class cricket for them this year,” said Razzaq, quoted ESPNcricinfo.

Hailed by many as one the best all-rounders for Pakistan, Razzaq, who is particularly known for his hitting ability, added that he only wants to participate in the PSL for a year or two.

“I know I cannot play for Pakistan anymore and that isn't my aim either. I know there are a lot of youngsters all over and they are doing very well. I don't want to push myself there but my aim is to play for another year or two in Pakistan Super League and this is all about it."

Making his international debut in 1996 against Zimbabwe as a 16-year-old, Razzaq would go on to play 265 one-day internationals, score more than 5000 runs and take 269 wickets. He would go on to play 46 Tests for Pakistan as well.
