Forbes magazine has released its annual list of the world’s most powerful people and it sure does contain big tech names including Mark Zuckerberg and Bill Gates, however, other names like Elon Musk and Tim Cook were ranked a bit lower than the former ones.

Forbes magazine’s annual list of ‘The World’s Most Powerful People’ for 2018 was released that contained 78 most powerful people from across the world. From world leader to sport personalities, the names are selected on the basis of whose ‘actions mean the most’, explained International Business Times.

Few of the biggest tech entrepreneurs also made it to the list and amongst them were CEO of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Tesla, Elon Musk, Apple CEO, Tim Cook, and CEO of Microsoft, Bill Gates. Gates managed to acquire the seventh place, Zuckerberg was placed at number 13, despite its latest controversies. However, Cook was ranked a bit below at number 24; Musk came in even under by being placed at number 25. CEO of Amazon, Jeff Bezos, however, ranked above all at number fifth.

Forbes ranks General Bajwa among ‘World’s Most Powerful People’

Forbes described Gates by writing, “With his wife Melinda, Bill Gates chairs the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the world's largest private charitable foundation. The foundation works to save lives and improve global health, and is working with Rotary International to eliminate polio.”

It further added, “Gates has sold or given away much of his stake in Microsoft -- he owns just over 1% of shares -- and invested in a mix of stocks and other assets.”

While informing about Zuckerberg, the magazine also mentioned his testimony before the Congress back in April this year as a result of Cambridge Analytica issue.

Mentioning about Cook, the magazine wrote, “Tim Cook is the man behind the company with the world's largest market capitalization -- more than $930 billion as of May 2018,” further adding, “The iPhone X was released in November 2017 and cost $999. Amid criticism of slow sales Cook defended it as “the most innovative product.’”

Musk was ranked below them all yet, Forbes described the billionaire as he ‘is revolutionizing transportation both on earth and in space.’

Moreover, the list also included names such as Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa ranked 68th, US President Donald Trump ranked at third and Russian President Vladimir Putin as second. The first position was crowned to Chinese President Xi Jinping.
