The groundbreaking ceremony of Metro bus project for Rawalpindi-Islamabad has been delayed due to non-completion of PC-1 of the project. National Engineering Services Pakistan (NESPAK) engineers were working on the PC-1 of the project. After the preparation of PC-1 it will be finalised that how much land is utilised in the making of Metro bus stations and for its path.
Management of the project confirmed that the PC-1 has not been completed however; the management viewed that day and night shift work will be carried out on the project and it will be completed in eight to nine months period and service will be inaugurated before December 25 of this year. Earlier it was estimated that the project will be completed in 11 months' period.
