Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani in a meeting with Chairman of the Pakistani Senate Syed Nayyer Bokhari called on Islamabad to tighten border controls to prevent infiltration of terrorist groups into Iran. He called for close and regulated consultations between Iran and Pakistan as two important and influential countries in regional developments and the Muslim world, and said, "Completion of the two countries' joint investments will leave deserving effects on the improvement of trade and economic relations between the two countries."
Bokhari, for his part, referred to the age-old and close relations between Tehran and Islamabad, and said Pakistan is seriously resolved to fight outlaws at its borders with Iran and the recent terrorist attack will leave no impact on the friendly ties between the two countries.
