AutoSoft Dynamics (Pvt) Limited, Pakistan's leading provider of a banking automation solutions, announced on Wednesday that Javed Mushtaq has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer. Mushtaq, who in his previous roles served as CIO of both Pakistan Telecommunication Corporation Limited (PTCL) and Warid Telecom, has assumed the role effective February 1, 2014. Mushtaq rejoins AutoSoft where he was a member of the company's founding team serving as Director Technical until 2004.
Lutfullah Khan, who has served as Chairman and CEO of since 2000, will maintain his role as Chairman of the Board of Directors while Ms Sadia Khan will continue to serve as Chief Operating Officer. Mushtaq brings more than 27 years of experience in operations, product development, marketing and financial management. His breadth of experience spans both local and global markets. He most recently worked with Telstra, a leading telecom provider in Australia. Prior to it, he has led the technology teams at the PTCL and Warid.
Mushtaq will further expand AutoSoft's global footprint while enhancing the current product lines and adding new business streams to strongly position the company for the next decade. The company also announced the appointment of Sultan Ahmed Khan as Head Regional Operations - South in Karachi. Khan brings with him more than 45 years of extensive experience in IT within the financial services industry having worked as CIO at Prime Commercial Bank, senior consulting roles with National Bank of Pakistan, United Bank Limited, ABN Amro and NIFT, and most recently as CIO at Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited. He possesses versatile experience in managing complex IT operations, implementing various financial systems and leading data migration projects in large scale commercial banks.
