Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that Major Daanish Abdul Wahid Shaheed has set a high example of valour and bravery by sacrificing his life for the country and the nation and the whole nation is proud of such brave sons. He said that brave officers like Major Daanish Abdul Wahid Shaheed are the heroes of the nation. He said that Major Daanish Abdul Wahid Shaheed has embraced martyrdom and his invaluable sacrifice will not go waste.
He said that the scourge of extremism will be eliminated at all cost for securing the future of country and the nation. He expressed these views while sympathising with the family of Major Daanish Abdul Wahid Shaheed at his residence at Lahore Cantt Saturday. The Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif prayed for the departed soul and paid great homage to Shaheed Major for his services for the country and the nation. The Chief Minister while sympathising with the bereaved family and consoling the children of Shaheed Major prayed that may Allah Almighty grant courage and strength to them. He said that he equally shares their grief. The Chief Minister was moved to tears on this occasion. Talking to the family of Major Daanish Abdul Wahid Shaheed, Shahbaz Sharif said that Major Daanish Abdul Wahid Shaheed sacrificed his life for the country and the nation for foiling the nefarious designs of terrorists. He said, no doubt, Major Daanish Abdul Wahid Shaheed was a brave officer of Pak Army and the entire nation is proud of him.
He said that Pak Army has written a new history by rendering a number of sacrifices for the defence of motherland. The Chief Minister said that the sacrifices of Pak Army against terrorism are unforgettable and the entire nation is proud of its heroes. He said that the country would be made a haven of peace by rooting out terrorism and extremism.
