The Beaconhouse School System organised 'The Learning Festival' on Saturday for students aged 3 to 5 and their parents. The festival took place simultaneously in 14 Beaconhouse schools in Lahore, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Hafizabad and Multan. The event was open to everyone, showcasing the Beaconhouse School System's strong commitment to community service and the advancement of education.
The programme featured a range of activities for children and parents aimed at enhancing parental involvement in children's development and learning, so that parents become active partners in their children's learning process. Beaconhouse firmly believes in the value of the formative years in a child's development and education and pays close attention to the process of creating the right impressions on a child in their early years. Therefore, the children's parents were invited to take part in a wide range of interesting and interactive activities to help them engage and bond with their children.
Activities such as Snakes and Ladders, Picture Puzzles, Shopping Cart, and Little Chef were organised and the large number of families who attended the event created a festive atmosphere charged with the spirit of fun and learning. Parents showed keen interest in healthy food options for growing children and prepared tasty snacks with the Little Chefs.
The favourite spot for the parents at The Learning Festival was the Emerging Technologies Across Curriculums (ETAC) area, where they learnt about the effective use of technology with young children.
A large number of parents and children also enjoyed the age-old tradition of storytelling. The family learning and fun day went on late into the afternoon and ended with satisfied parents and their delighted children heading home after spending a great time together playing and learning.-PR
