At least three security personnel were killed and six injured in an IED explosion at Sorab in Quetta on Saturday. Security officials confirmed that a remote-controlled bomb hit the FC convoy. A heavy contingent of security forces threw a security cordon around the blast site as rescuers shifted the injured to nearby hospital. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has strongly condemned the attack and expressed grief over the loss of precious lives in the incident.
Meanwhile‚ at least six terrorists were killed in an encounter with security forces in Sui on Saturday. A spokesman for Frontier Corps Balochistan said the encounter took place in the suburbs of Sui. Heavy amount of explosives was also recovered from the terrorists' possession.
