Nato supplies to Afghanistan through Torkham have been restored, as containers were seen arriving at the border on Sunday after Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) ended its three-month long sit-in blocking the supply line. Sources said that five containers carrying supplies for the Nato forces had arrived from Karachi at the Torkham border. Customs officials said that all the five containers after clearance had already entered into Afghanistan territory.
It may be mentioned here that the Nato supplies were blocked through Torkham on November 23, 2013, after PTI launched its sit-in protest against the US drone strikes in the tribal areas.
