The Post-Graduate Medical Institute (PGMI) has established a cell comprising on its senior health experts for Monitoring and Control of Infectious Diseases (MCID). The cell will create awareness among the masses and inform them about the precautionary measures against seasonal and communicable diseases through organising seminars and workshops, it is said by the Principal of PGMI Professor Anjum Habib Vohra. He informed that the cell included Professor Ghias-un-Nabi Tayyab, Professor Ahtasham-ud-din Qureshi, Professor Agha Shabbir Ali, Professor Saulatullah Khan, Professor Najam-ul-Hassan, Dr Mian Azhar Ahmed and Dr Shahid Mehmood.
Professor Anjum Habib Vohra said the government and people were spending huge amount on research of drug formulations but there was a need to promote research to prevent diseases.
