Condemning bloodshed in Islamabad district courts President Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan Sahibzada Abual Khair Muhammad Zubair said that foreign hand is involved in sabotaging peace talks between the government and Taliban. In a statement on Tuesday Zubair contended that Islamabad carnage was result of the security failure and the government must realize the gravity of this multi-facet war against the terrorists and extremists.
He said the JUP favours talks with those TTP elements that want peace and harmony in the country and would play its effective role to take the country out of the chronic and grave situation. Zubair said that the followers of the liberal Ahle-Sunnat school of thoughts are very happy over the unification of six groups of JUP that would strength unity and solidarity of the country.
He said that several leaders of the religious political parties and eminent religious scholars have congratulated JUP leaders including Pir Masoom Hussain Shah Naqvi, Pir Muhammad Mahfooz Shah Mashhadi, Sahibzada Muhammad Mustafa Ashraf Rizvi, Pir Nasir Jameel Hashmi, Saeed Ahmad Gujrati and Ghulam Shabbir Qadri for merger of their groups in the JUP. A JUP press release said that among those who had welcomed the merger included patron of Markazi Jamaat Ahle Sunnat Sahibzada Pir Attiqur Rahman, Secretary General Syed Irfan and Secretary General Jamaat-e-Islami Liaquat Baloch.
