Gujranwala Electric Power Company (GEPCO) will put three more 132KV grid stations in operation in Hafizabad district by the end of this month, GEPCO CEO Muneer Ahmad Mian said on Wednesday. Muneer said that a new 132 grid station with the name of Hafizabad -II is nearing completion whereas 66KV grid stations at Kolo Tarar and Jalalpur are being upgraded to 132KV grid stations.
GEPCO CEO inspected the ongoing construction work of the three grid stations at Hafizabad, Kolo Tarar and Jalalpur and said that these upgraded grid stations would help stabilise the supply of electricity in the district.
Chief Engineers Chaudhry Muhammad Anwar, Ghulam Muhammad , PDGSC Muhammad Ashraf Bhatti, EXENs Rana Ishtiaq Ahmad, Waheed Ahmad, Muhammad Safdar were present on the occasion.
In his briefing C E Ghulam Muhammad said that the installation and up-gradation work of the three stations had been completed in a record time without compromising quality of the work. These grid stations would dawn a new era of progress and prosperity in the area, he added.
