At least 3 persons were killed while two others were injured in different incidents of violence in metropolis, here on Sunday. According to police and rescue sources, Qari Ibrahim, and Qari Altaf were shot and killed while Tayyib and Abdul Qadir were shot and injured in the same incident which occurred in Korangi near Vitta roundabout (Chorangi) in the jurisdictions of Korangi Industrial Area (KIA) police station.
A spokesman of Ahl-e-Sunnat Waljmat, (ASWJ) said that the victims were active workers of his organisation (ASWJ); he said some unknown men from inside a vehicle near Vitta Chorangi, opened indiscriminate firing on them. Resultantly, Secretary information Mehmood Abad Town Qari Ibrahim, and administrator Qari Altaf were killed while a worker Tayyib and General Secretary Abdul Qadir were injured, he added.
The incident took place when they were on the way to Mehmood Abad Town on two motorcycles after having a meeting with Allama Orangzaib Farooqi, he added.
The victims were moved to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) for medico-legal formalities.
In another incident, Muhammad Deen,45, son of Malik Siraj was killed by unknown gun man in Lyari, Qasir Colony Sector 35-B. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital CH for autopsy.
