Almost prices moved both ways on the wholesale grain market on Monday in the process of modest trading, dealers said. On the cereals side, Moong Punjab and Peshawar both dropped by Rs 125 to Rs 11375, wheat old (Bardan) gained Rs 50 to Rs 3900, Guwar Sindh lost Rs 250 to Rs 4750-5250 and Guwar Punjab also lost Rs 125 to Rs 4750-5250, they said.
On the grams front, Bajra low type was unchanged at Rs 2800 while the best quality was higher by Rs 50 Rs 3450, they said. On the rice sector, Irri-6 Sindh low type was down by Rs 25 to Rs 3350 while the best variety was inert at Rs 3450, other items maintained week-end levels, they said. No change was seen in prices on the seeds side, they added.
